Re-posts are possible on Instagram now. Here’s how to use this feature.

Instagram recently announced re-posts, which is an amazing feature for tourism and events brands. So let me explain how re-posts work, and how you can make the most of this feature.

The re-posts button should now appear under all reels on Instagram (it’s the icon that looks like two arrows in the shape of a square). When someone hits the re-post button, they will share that reel with their followers while still crediting the original creator. All of the reels that a person or business re-posts will also now appear in a new tab on their profile, so it’s a great opportunity to sell your experience in a whole new way.

The reason why I’m so excited about this feature, is because re-posts are great for sharing user-generated content. User-generated content is content that is created and shared by other people on the platform about your event or experience. Using user-generated content in your strategy is great for selling your product because it’s content created from the perspective of the customer experience. It’s authentic to the platform, and it builds social proof - because if people see others enjoying your product, they will naturally trust it more.

So if you see a great reel about your event or tourism product, don’t just share it to your story. Give it a re-post!
